Other things this month:

- Brooklyn likes to stand completely on her own! She will lift herself up then let go of whatever she is holding onto. She can last about 20 seconds. She is getting stronger!

-She always wants to be standing and using her legs!

-Brooklyn likes to squish our faces together. 

-She enjoys life to the fullest. She is so sweet, and happy almost all the time.

-The last month of two we have been having a hard time getting Brooklyn to eat solids. It is either due to her teething (which she really hasn't even been ornery about though. She sleeps less, but that's it). Or it could be because she is wanting more independence. So we give her lots of finger foods, and she still needs practice but she is getting better at eating them. Pretty much she will eat things as long as it's not mushed up and given to her on a spoon. If that is the case she might eat half a jar, but usually she just puckers her lips and turns her head. It is cute, but that is one thing we need to work on, eating more solids!

-Brooklyn has 2 teeth! They are her two middle bottom ones. So adorable!

-Guess who has started to take her first steps!!! It's hard to tell when Brooklyn actually first started to begin taking steps, one time I remember though was when we were face-timing with Grandma Mumford. The video cut out, and I said ,"Where did Grandma go?" All of a sudden Brooklyn took about 5 steps toward the phone. Ahhh! Almost a week before she turned ten months old, Brooklyn started to be able to stand up on her own without the help of furniture. Almost immediately she was beginning to take steps. We will see how long it is until she is full on walking, but I have a feeling it won't be long!

-Sad thing this month... Brooklyn was in her high chair eating some finger foods (crunchies, and yogurt melts). After a few minutes she turned bright red and had white spots all over her face. She became very swollen. I immediately called the doctor, and they told me to give her Benadryl then get into see the doc. Good thing we had Benadryl on hand! It was so scary, but Brooklyn is a trooper and didn't seem overly bugged by it. Within a few minutes she was getting better, and slowly it went away. We don't know exactly what she had the allergic reaction to, but assume it was the yogurt because she hadn't eaten them much before. We may see an allergist soon, but hopefully there won't be much of a need to. It was such a sad day though, one of the worst days I've ever had. Brooklyn was such a trooper but still, it was scary and seeing her all swollen broke my heart. Hopefully we won't see that again!

-Things have been crazy this month with moving and everything else that has been going on, but Brooklyn has continued to love every day, and make life more enjoyable for us! I could never even start to describe how much we love her and the joy that she adds to our lives. Love you Brooklyn!
