Brooklyn is 5!

Our sweet Brooklyn is 5 years old!!

She is so amazing! She is sweet, caring, creative, smart, and funny. She also has a very strong personality and can be quite sassy. We love her so much! Here are some things I have written down about her the last year:

- Brooklyn wished to be a mermaid on her 4th birthday cake

- I’ll ask Brooklyn to do something and she says, “Only if you say the magic words!” The magic word is Abracadabra

- Loves unicorns

- Always says the prayers

- Loves writing cards to people

- Makes up songs to sing

- When I woke up brought me cut our paper hearts and sang a song about loving me and danced :)

- Obsessed with ponies and unicorns

- Some kid was hitting Austin at McDonalds and Brooklyn stepped in front of him and protected him. We were so proud of her!

- Brooklyn told me “I have you in my heart”

- She loves Jesus and says he is with her at preschool and when I’m not around

- Put hands together with all of us and say team!

- For Austin’s Birthday Brooklyn hid a couple books under her bed for him. She did it all by herself. How sweet!

- She loves Home.

- She is always making cards for everyone and surprising me with cards of hearts and unicorns that she puts in my nightstand so I can see them often.

- Writes “mom”. First word she writes other than her name!

- She has been sleeping in our bed and says she will sleep in her bed when she gets a mommy doll to cuddle with

- Always gets stopped to talk about her beautiful hair. She says people always want to talk about it.. and they do :)

- Every time someone leaves Brooklyn and Austin have to climb on them (daddy), hugs, kisses, team and around the world.

- Brooklyn loves the scripture story about Jesus gathering the little children around him. She wants to hear is all the time and it is adorable!

- So creative. She is constantly creating in every way. It amazes me how creative she is!! 

- Book of Mormon is favorite book she loves it, she asks mike to read it to her every night

- Made card for sick friend and learned she was following Jesus, she was so excited!

- She said you don’t want me to grow up do you? (We we’re talking about kindergarten) I told her I loved my little Brooklyn. She then said if she doesn’t grow up she won’t ever let me go to the bathroom myself and she won’t stop being silly haha

- Made me a paper heart flower for my anniversary and lots of hearts and a card. So sweet!

- Brooklyn told me every time I go potty she sings to Austin twinkle twinkle little star

- Put flowers in water bottles and put them on our nightstands

A few other things this year.. She did another year of preschool and dance. She also did Tball, cheerleading, and tumbling this summer. She has a great group of friends that she loves playing with. She also got glasses this year and they are absolutely adorable on her. She has to wear a patch on one of her eyes and she is doing great at that. She knows her letters and most of the sounds, and can count to 30+. She can write a few words. She loves everything girly, especially princesses, barbies, unicorns, and mermaids. She is full of light and life and we are SO thankful for her. She is also a great big sister to Austin. They play constantly and also fight quite a bit haha. She just told me when she grows up she wants to be a Mom, photographer, cowgirl, and someone who dresses manikins when she grows up :) We love this spunky girl! Happy 5th birthday sweetheart!

Brooklyn had a unicorn party with her friends. They decorated unicorn cookies, opened presents, then played outside. They had SO much fun!!
