Newborn

Has it really been a whole month already? Guess so, and Brooklyn is growing like crazy! Time to remember what has been going on this past month...

I believe I already wrote about the hospital and having my family in town so we will start after that. But here are a few pictures.

 

The next couple weeks we spent getting used to having a baby. Trying to sleep when we could, and enjoying every minute of being with Brooklyn. She is such a good baby! Once every few days she will be fussy for a bit, but most of the time she is very happy unless she is hungry or very tired. And she is a champion eater! At her first appointment which was the Friday after she was born she already weighed 7.3 again. (Babies usually lose some weight right after birth), and at her 9 day appointment she was 7.11. She eats every 2-3 hours, and after the first few weeks her days and nights have mostly been established.

Brooklyn is just adorable. She raises one eyebrow all the time and makes the funniest expressions! She also is quite the grunter! I had no idea a baby could make so much noise. She grunts all the time, and sounds like a dinosaur, it is the cutest. She also smiles when she sleeps, and rolls her eyes in the back of her head. 2 week old pictures:

Sunni also came into town this last month! Brooklyn was a few weeks old so we were able to do a little bit more. We went to red rocks, and went and had lunch at Little India and did a little shopping, and we also went to Colorado Springs and went to Garden of the Gods and Rudy's BBQ. So much fun!

That was most of the first month in a nutshell. She is so much more aware of things around her and has already gotten a lot bigger. Overall it has been the happiest time in our lives. It was great to see family, and great to have this little one in our lives!

 She loves her swing that Grandma and Grandpa gave her! And she loves to sleep with her hands in the air on it :)
