2 Months

Brooklyn had her 2 month shots. She did amazing! Just about a minute of crying then smiles again :) 

Stats for 2 months: 12 pounds 9 ounces (80 percentile), 23.25 inches long(80 percentile), 15.75 in head circumference (90 percentile). She is growing like crazy and doing amazing!

The main thing this month was Brooklyn's Baby Blessing! We drove out to Utah on October 10th. We left around 2, and made it to Utah really late. Brooklyn did amazing though for her first long car ride! Friday we went and got Sunni from the airport, made brownies for the blessing, and just hung out.

Saturday came and it was blessing time. Mindy's kid Parker (who was born 3 days after Brooklyn) was blessed the same day. We decided to do it on Saturday because it made combining the blessings a lot easier. Everyone met at Mindy's church at 3, we prayed and sang, and Mike's Dad gave a little talk. Then everyone went up for Brooklyn's blessing. It was beautiful. Apparently in the circle she had her eyes wide open and kept cooing around at the men. Next, Parker was blessed, then we ate soup and salad for dinner. It was such a special day! Also I should mention... the dress that Brooklyn wore was the same dress I wore as a baby! I'm glad she was able to wear it.

That night we went and hung out at Mindy's. Everyone was pretty tired as you can see :)

Sunday we went to church (where we saw Dakota's plaque!), went over to Mindy's again, had a little photoshoot with the babies, then went to Grandma and Grandpa Kemps, then back to the Mumford home. When we were at the grandparents home Brooklyn had a blowout while she was sitting on Grandpa Mumford's lap. Luckily it didn't get on him, but it was pretty funny!

On Monday we went and hung out at Mindy's again. We went to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, and just hung out until it was time for Mike's parents to head back to Idaho, then we went and spent the night back with my parents. We went to Johnny Carino's for dinner (yum!!), then went to Target and bought some things for Dakota's Christmas package. Oh and Sunni and I were able to go hang out with a few of my friends from high school for brunch. So great to see them as always!

Tuesday was Sunni's last day so we made the most of it. I'm glad she was able to extend her trip a little bit due to the government shut down. We went and visited Daddy in the shop, Mommy met us there and we all went and got Cafe Rio and took it to Allie's work. In the afternoon we took Sunni to the airport, then came home and relaxed the rest of the evening.

 Wednesday we just hung out, and Thursday we hung out in the morning then Mike and I went on a date. We went and ate Brazilian food at Braza Grill, then went and got dessert at Rita's. So good!

Friday we went on another date to the temple. We hadn't been since before Brooklyn was born, so it was really nice to go. After that we went over to Mindy's for Hannah's 7th birthday party! We ate pizza, she opened presents, then we had cake. We got her a tutu and a stamp marker book, and she loved them both!

Saturday came and we headed over to Mindy's again to hang out with the family. That evening we went to Gardner's Village to see the witches.

Sunday was the drive home. Brooklyn did great yet again. She started to get a little fussy when we were almost home but Mike was showing her Angry Bird videos and playing fruit ninja which seemed to make her pretty happy. It was such a great trip!!! Now here are some pictures from the last month:

Fun things about Brooklyn this month:

-Brooklyn has started to notice her hands and stares and plays with them

-She loves her changing table! She is always smiling and cooing when we put her on it. It is also adorable because she puts her legs up, all ready for us to change her!

-She tries to stick her whole hand in her mouth. I don't know if she just hasn't really learned to suck her thumb yet or she just loves to nibble on the whole thing. (She has sucked her thumb a couple of times just for a minute)

-She instantly calms down when Daddy starts singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

-Brooklyn LOVES big girl baths. We sit in the tub, and pour water all over her body. She gets the biggest eyes but we can't tell how much she loves it until we take her out. Then she cries and cries. It is sad but cute at the same time.

-On the drive out to Utah, Mike was in the back seat with Brooklyn making fart sounds with his mouth. Then she did it back to him! She has gotten really good at it now and does it all the time.

-She loves to pull on Grandpa Mumford's arm hair!

-Brooklyn is getting more and more animated all the time. We didn't think it was possible but she just keeps on getting cuter and cuter! She also likes to talk all the time, it is pretty darn cute.
