First Christmas!

Christmas was pretty exciting this year since we had a little gal to share it with! So first we drove out the weekend before Christmas.. and boy was that drive fun. It took about 11 hours because of the weather and road conditions. so awesome. not! Brooklyn did great though, probably better than I did. In the middle of the drive we were completely stopped for over an hour because of an accident. So we took Brooklyn our of her carseat, changed her diaper, and just played with her in the middle of the freeway. So that was exciting.

We arrived Sunday evening, and the next day was Mike's birthday! 31 years! We mainly just relaxed for awhile, then we went and had lunch at Pei Wei, then went and hung out with Mindy's family. We also ate tres leches and mike got lots of presents. It was a fun day.

Christmas Eve was next! The best day of the whole year. Everyone came over, and we just did the usual. Dinner, hung out, went to the barn (Brooklyn was baby Jesus), got new pjs, and spent great time with family.

 Next... Christmas!! We got up and started opening presents but took a break to talk to Elder Mumford! It was so great to be able to see him and talk for a bit. Then we went back to opening presents, and went and spent the evening at Grandma and Grandpa Kemp's house. We sure got spoiled for Christmas. I upgraded my camera, and Mike got a time capsule, and we also got ourselves a nurtibullet. We also got a Kitchen Aid, clothes, movie, puzzles, alarm clock with a gun to shoot at it, polaroid camera, jewelry, gift cards, books, slippers, dutch oven, and Brooklyn got lots of toys! We are so grateful for all of our many blessings, especially the wonderful families that we have!

 The rest of the trip was lots of hanging out with our families. We all got sick too so that was sad. It breaks my heart to see Brooklyn sick but I guess that is life. We still managed to have lots of fun though!

 (Sunni got this bump on her nose from falling asleep watching a movie on her ipad and letting it fall on her face.. twice! haha. we found it pretty funny.

The rest of the trip was full of hanging out, going on a date, going to the temple, and seeing Lucie and Clint at temple square. It was wonderful to be home!

 New Years Eve came and we were lame and wanted to sleep. I'm pretty sure she decided to wake up and eat right around midnight, but here she are that evening right before bed, just so excited for the new year!

 She likes to lay on her side more and more, just for fun and to sleep.

Can't wait to go back to Utah!
