They came on Tuesday, July 15th. They hit a deer on the way out which was sad, but they were fine thankfully! So when they arrived Tuesday night after a couple days of driving and stress, we just hung out at our house. Plus it was raining so we couldn't do much. We had some ribs for dinner, and watched a movie.
Wednesday we headed down to Colorado Springs! Not long after we started walking around Garden of the Gods we got caught in a flash flood! It was raining and hailing. We tried to get cover in the rocks but it didn't work so we ran to the restrooms to wait it out. Brooklyn had a blanket over her but the rest of us were absolutely soaked! After about 20 minutes the rain stopped and we were able to see the rest of the park. Then we went to Rudy's BBQ, then back home. It was a fun day :)
The next day we went swimming at Chatfield Park! Then Allie and Jake went on a date that night to Idaho Springs. Here are some pics from the park:
Friday we went to Rocky Mountain National Park! Such a beautiful place!
Saturday we went to Roxborough Park. It was gorgeous. Then Allie and Jake went to play disc golf and we got ready for Brooklyn's birthday! The party was fun but I will put that in a different post :)
The next morning Allie and Jake left. It was such a great week having them here! Cant wait til they come back :)
