The summer after we got married was great. To start it off was our honeymoon. We had less than a week until we were to move to Colorado so we had to go somewhere close for a few days. Our first night was spent in Sandy at a hotel that looked like a castle. The next morning we set off to St. George. I love it there and Mike had never been so we decided to go. These few pictures are from Snow Canyon and Tuachan where we say the play Grease. It was awesome!
Then it was off to Colorado! We had been there once a few weeks earlier to find a place to live. We took a Uhaul and stopped in Grand Junction to break up the drive. When we arrived at our new Condo, we sat and waited for our landlord to bring us keys. Within a couple minutes a big elk walked right across the street. I guess that is what you get when you live at the base of the mountains!
We settle into our new city and started making new friends. These fireworks are from the 4th of July where we went to the top of a closed off parking garage with Niel and Dani!
We went home not long after we moved to Colorado so that Mike could defend his Thesis. We spent some time with my family and also some time in Idaho. This is at Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, ID.
We did lots that trip but I need to get better at taking pictures. Here are just a couple from my Grandpa's birthday.
The summer was full of lots of adventures. Hanging out with friends, seeing family, Mike starting his new career and finishing his thesis, and me getting a new teaching license that was valid in Colorado.
