I convinced my family to come see us in Colorado! They arrived Thursday the 18th and left the following Monday. Once they drove into town and we grabbed some lunch at Great Harvest, I decided to take them to Red Rocks. This is a famous amphitheater that is just 10 minutes from my house. After we walked around and went to the museum, we went to the "Skinny Cow" ice cream place in the town Morrison.
Once we finished our ice cream we had a little bit of time before Mike got off of work so we hung out at a lake that is right by my house. We had fun...
That night we went to Golden, and saw Buffalo Bills grave. It was a beautiful view. Denver is where the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Plains- and it makes for quite the scenery.
Friday: We hung out at the condo then met Mike by his work for lunch. We are pretty obsessed with Indian food, so that is where we went. Delish!
Many people probably don't know this- but Denver is home to Molly Brown's house! Yes, the unsinkable Molly Brown. My mom was pretty excited so her and my dad went on a tour of the house while the rest of us hung out outside.
That night we went to the 16th street mall. It is a street in the middle of downtown that is closed down and filled with downtown life and shops. We enjoyed walking the mall and getting Carmel apples. Then it was onto the Rockies game! Even though we lost it was still awesome to be there at the Coors Field eating hot dogs.
On Saturday we took a trip to Colorado Springs. We went to Garden of the Gods, a place with Indian Dwellings, and to Rudy's.
We tried to go to the North Pole, but it was closed...
Rudy's is a BBQ place that is SO good.
On Sunday we went to church then went to Parker to see my cousins. It was a great day but sadly had no pictures. Then Monday my family took off. It was sad to see them go, but we were so grateful that they came to see us!
